Hi everyone!

It’s nice to see that we’re slowly growing and that we’re getting more traffic from week to week. But we’re kind of disappointed not seeing anyone registering or commenting on our posts. But it’s still understandable, as it’s a pain to register to a site when you have nothing to gain out of it.

That’s why we’re launching the first ever The Save Points! Contest.

What can you win?
I can’t promise these prizes will interest you, but since it is our first contest, we rather go with something we can easily afford to give away. If the response rate is above our expectations, we might add additional prize(s) for you to win.

Both prizes are large wall scrolls.

The first one is Bleach themed. The second one is Final Fantasy XI themed. I will be taking pictures of them tonight and putting them up in this post.

Those are kind of niche, but I believe the Bleach fan base and the Final Fantasy ones are big enough that those prizes could at least please someone you know as a present, if you don’t like those yourself.

Please note that I’ve had those for a while, but they’re in great conditions.

How can you participate?
Quite simple. Just register here to our site or through the link under “meta” in the navigation bar on your right. Wait! There’s more ways to boost your chances of winning. Here are the details

Register to the site: odds + 1
Refer someone to the site: odds +2
Donation: odds +2/$1
Participate in the comments: odds + 1/comment (please be intelligible at the very least)

How do you refer someone? Well for the time being, you just have to ask the people you refer us to, to add your username, full name or email in the Who Refered You? box when registering. If that person misses it while registering, it can always be updated in the profile page, so don’t worry about it. Just work on convincing them to join the site, that’s always the hard part.

Why donate?
Why are we asking donations? Well, we’re not trying to make a living out of this site. It’s just something we enjoy doing and all have jobs outside of this. I’m also still studying, so I have a lot of expenses I have a hard time to keep up with since I can’t work full time. But this is not why we are asking for those.

All donations would go into some equipment to help us do a better job for this site. We’d like to be able to record console gameplay footage among other things. Some decent recording equipment would be great too. But these kinds of things won’t probably be possible without your help for the time being.

Contest will end January 31st midnight EST and anyone is eligible. We will be drawing the winners in early February (I will give a definite date at the end of January) and we will *attempt* to do it in a video format.
