Actually, it seems like the game was out at the same time(or at least during the same year) in Japan as &quot;Meikyuu Hunter G&quot;. Which was the same game but tweaked to remove any reference to the ghostbusters. 
So from what I understand it was developed as a Ghostbusters game first and tweaked for Japanese release. Also, the japanese version only supported 2 players instead of 3 players.</description>
