Games coming out in June 2013
Still being slow on my reviews because, again, not playing a whole lot of stuff, and at this point what I AM playing I’ve either already reviewed, or have been out for a couple months so aren’t really worth reviewing…
So JUNE! E3 time, fuck yeah! Sony will show their launch plans for the PS4 (which I really hope turns out okay), Nintendo will reveal a bunch of Wii U games and make it worth buying… Oh and Microsoft will fail to redeem themselves after their horrible reveal.
But there’s also a couple releases: 2 for 3DS, 1 PS3 exclusive, 2 Vita games (whoa!), 2 Wii U games (WHOA!!!!) and 2 multiplats.
Usual disclaimer: Those include either games I’m interested in, or games that may be/become popular… Basically anything I feel bears mentioning, whether I’m personally hyped for it or not.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf 06/09
Animal Crossing continues sucking and continues selling completely insane numbers. I’ll never get the appeal of this boring series.
Project X Zone 06/25
A cool Strategy RPG with a really fun-looking battle system featuring Namco, Sega and Capcom characters! I actually played the “original” Namco X Capcom on the PS2 and, despite not being able to read Japanese at all I still had lots of fun with it. This should be really fun.
PLAYSTATION 3 RELEASES
The Last of Us 06/14
A third-person shooter that looks kinda like Uncharted except it features actual gameplay design! Yeah, I’m not exactly impressed by anything I’ve seen of this game, but I’m actually interested enough to give it a try.
WII U RELEASES
New Super Luigi U 06/20
DLC for New Super Mario Bros U… But I could say DLC done well, since it’s 20$ but has as much content as the main game. If you don’t have the main game and want it, the physical disc is 30$ (in a cool green box!).
Game & Wario 06/23
A WII U EXCLUSIVE! WHOAMG! And it’s a shitty Wario minigame game Thankfully actually good Wii U games will be coming soon after though, Nintendo’s waking up.
Jak and Daxter Collection 06/11
I actually tried the HD collection on PS3 (never having played this series before)… and it did nothing for me. Pretty boring. (note: the game’s box is lying… the Vita isn’t HD)
Muramasa Rebirth 06/25
AN INTERESTING VITA GAME! And it’s a Wii port… derp. At least it’s a port to an great game which I did enjoy on the Wii, and it adds some things. Sad that it’s a port, but at least it’s something and I’m picking it up.
Remember Me 06/04 (PS3, 360, PC)
This actually looks potentially cool. An action beat ‘em up game with some platforming. I just hope for a demo to see if it’s any good.
Deadpool 06/25 (PS3, 360, PC)
Deadpool! It seems potentially good, but we have yet to actually see any ACTUAL gameplay, but rather trailers that show cool attacks and nothing else. The trailers are really fun though, so I do have some hype for it. It is slightly-budget-priced which helps.
