Hello everyone and welcome to The Save Points!

We’re a gaming review site among many. So why would read us over another site? Well first and foremost, we’re doing this because we find it fun! We’re reaching out to people in a way that isn’t possible without the Internet at this price.  Also, we do cover a lot of the other entertainment medias.  Movies? Yup! Anime? Yup! Music? Yup! Theater? Humm.. none so far I believe. But yeah, we see it, we hear it, whatever it is that is meant to be entertainment, we’ll tell you about.  We also do editorial articles from time to time too.

We’re also not doing it to make money out of it, neither are we doing it for free game copies, as we don’t ever ask for any. We pay for our stuff and want to tell you if we thought our money was well spent or not. This is presented to the reader as our original rating system, the save factor.

We’re also not doing this whole thing to get more hits or anything like that. You’re welcomed to come here, take a look around from time to time, or you can never come back and we’re okay with this, we’ll just be a bit sad.

You’re also free to express your agreement/disagreement with us.  Since we’re not requiring you to register to post comments, we just require though that you be respectful when you comment.  Slanders are not respectful. We respect your opinion as long as you respect ours.

I’ve been a gamer for the better part of my life, starting from the day when I first held a controller in my hands up to now, and I don’t see that ever changing.

I am more of a retro gamer. Of course I love modern gaming, but a lot of things in the old days were much better. My favorite genres… I’m just not too big on sport games, FPS/TPS (there’s so many of them now that they’re becoming boring), the on-going surge of poorly-made “casual” games and MMOs. Otherwise, if the gameplay is of good quality, I’m happy… though I’m quite picky on this.

My other hobbies include anime, movies, tennis, listening to metal and rock music and hanging out with my friends.

I (will)  have (in April 2010) a communication degree and a background in multimedia.  I live in Canada’s National Capital Region and I enjoy gaming, watching Anime and reading Manga when I have time to kill.  Action and Fighting games are my favourite genres.  I also enjoy RPGs, Adventure games and MMOs from time to time too.

I also help out a few other sites, mostly on the consultation side though.  Some people may know me under the alias Kyolux or Ecchigo.

I’m Wintrale (although I’m known as The Corrupt, or TheCorruptedOne, Whyt or even Winty on various websites) and I’m the only non-North American on the team! I’m your resident Brit, although keep the teeth jokes to yourself thankyouverymuch. I’m a huge SRPG fan, with a strong love for series like Disgaea and Fire Emblem, and I’m quite a big RPG fan to boot. I’ve seemed to start playing FPS games more often, however, although that might just be because the PS3 has so many! I’m an amateur novelist, currently looking after a pretty ill relative, but I hope to one day get my books published. I travel a lot, mostly visiting Japan a few times a year, so I’m in the unique position to buy Japanese games at their source and even attend events such as the Tokyo Game Show, as I did in 2008. I read manga and novels more than I watch anime or TV shows, but I do have my favourite things to watch.

I’m the guy with all the consoles! I collect RPGs but rarely play them through. I enjoy short games. I want to love RTS but I have a hard time with the gameplay. I used to be a PC gamer back in the day. Grew up playing on a commodore and afterwards an amiga, the later being the one I have all my fond memories of. Most of you would have memories of playing such and such game on the NES. I played better versions of them on the amiga! I play MMOs and I rather enjoy them. This is where my time sinks into the most regretfully. I enjoy the social aspect of it and most console games rarely provide such a thing. My handle is MnM333 and I use it on steam, psn, xbl. I’ve had it for years. It’s not the best out there. As for anime, I’m well versed but have drifted away in the last few years. Somehow, I just don’t feel most series provide the amount of humour or intrigue that I used to enjoy.

What do I do for a living? I’m a programmer at the House of Commons!

I’m a 21 year old college student obsessed with games and literature. I have a year or so left until I graduate from the University of South Alabama with an English/Secondary Education degree. I own all three consoles as well as a top of the line (or at least close to that) PC. I enjoy playing all game genres, except for sports/racing titles, and especially enjoy RPGs, specifically Western RPGs.
