A new Devil May Cry game was announced. Awesome, right? Well, most DMC fans don’t seem to agree, and I’m one of those.
While the fanbase for Devil May Cry is in an outrage right now, there’s also a large amount of morons thinking that we’re whining for no good reason.
So I’m here to shed some light on the issue, and explain just exactly why people are complaining, and hopefully people will understand why we’re complaing and that the complaints are legit.
So read on and see what’s making people’s blood boil.

There’s a game on the NES I really like called “Kiwi Kraze”. It’s incredibly hard as many people who played it can attest to (check out LordKat’s video on the matter), but it’s well made and fun to play. What I didn’t know about the game is that it was actually not only on other consoles, but that all the other games in the series had a different name than on the NES: New Zealand Story. This was brought to my attention recently, and I found out there was a version on the DS. So I decided to check it out.
Yeah, the review is massively late, but that’s because I didn’t know about the game until recently. And who doesn’t like checking out good obscure games no one knows about?
Read on and see if I liked it or not! (short review before publishing my Metroid: Other M review)

The other day I started randomly thinking about this: What are the gold standards in the gaming industry? What games best define their own genre? This is what I set out to figure out.
Let’s go right away and define what “Gold Standard” means. It’s pretty simple. It has to be:
1. A game that defines the genre it’s in.
2. It has to be a high-quality game/series.
3. It still has to be fun to play.
4. Of course, it doesn’t need to be the BEST in the genre, but it has to be the one to have set most of the genre’s standards.
5. It has to be an older game, as much as possible.
So read on and see what are the Gold Standards in the gaming industry! Of course, if I’m missing a genre(there’s some I didn’t put in because I either could think of any 1 game that defined the genre, or that were too similar to another genre that I didn’t need to include them), or if you think about a game that I might not have thought about for any of the categories, be sure to comment!

Well, I just received a strange package from Alawar Entertainment. These are the people that sent us our very first review copy (for Treasures of Montezuma 2, which we reviewed some time ago). I wasn’t expecting a package, so I was confused when I got it.
What did we get? Well… A Christmas card and Smarties!

Yeah, that tiger is actually a christmas card(in front of it is a business card from the person who took the time to send the card and write us something in it), it opens up to reveal a nice little message. Fun.

Smarties in the company’s color. Mmmmm.
It’s a bit late for Christmas cards, but the mail has been slow lately, so it must have been delayed. A nice thought.
Thank you Tatyana from Alawar

Hello everyone. As you can guess this is not a review, just a random post. Yes, I have been on hiatus from the internets for a little bit. Mostly spending time with my significant other doing vacation like things such as play games and such. Lately we’ve been playing Final Fantasy XI more frequently. Before that I got her into D&D and we played some of that new Mario Bros. Wii. However, when she goes to bed I usually stay up a bit longer and play other things. And last week, I traded in multiple games and got enough money for 2 brand new titles. My original intent was to just get Bayonetta but I went for MW2 also. I figured I’d play it for a while since that’s what everyone seems to be playing on my friendlist when they aren’t playing Dragon Age.
So why am I posting about MW2? Find out after the break! Read more…

This is probably the second time this happens to me! Yay, release Date -1!

In any case. Voilà ! This links to my gallery with the innards of the beast itself.
Like the other times, I will be too scared to pop it in the system and get banned. Although I have heard that there is nothing to fear about popping in legit copies directly from the Xbox ban hammer lord himself in a podcast.

Well, I’ve been playing with my newly received Power Glove for an hour now. So I’ll go and write my first impressions right away!
So, is it fun to use? Does it even work? Is it better than the AVGN is leading us to believe? Read on and see!

I love the powerglove. It's SO bad

Not as comfortable as I thought it would be
Finally got it. From jjgames. It cost $15, plus $2 for Super Glove Ball and $9 for shipping.A lot less than getting it on Ebay.
Initial impressions? It’s kinda tight and moving my fingers isn’t incredibly easy. Though otherwise it feels fine. I have yet to set it up though, so that’s all I can say for now.

Well, I could just say “O_O” and be done with it for this mini-review, but that wouldn’t do the film justice. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect but I did hear lots of great reviews on this, so I went in there knowing it would probably be okay. But I was wrong… it was GREAT.
So let’s go just a little bit more in detail and talk about one of the weirdest people in the world of cinema!
Read on! (Yeah, I know this movie is 15 years old, but I just saw it for the first time and I thought I should share my thoughts with everyone)

I haven’t exactly played this enough for a full review, But I still wanted to do a quick post about it.
I’m not exactly the biggest Soul Calibur fan, and I haven’t enjoyed a Soul Calibur game just as much as Soul Calibur 2 on the gamecube. Maybe the series just felt stale afterwards, or maybe I just wasn’t really into it anyways.
So, and I’ll be quick on this, here are my impressions of the PSP version of Soul Calibur!
