Well, Thursday a download on the European PSN appeared. The first 100000 people to get it got access to the ModNation Racers beta. I managed to be fast enough to get the download. So I gave the beta some gameplay to see if the final game might end up living up to its potential or not.
Does it, or should they delay the release to iron out some things?

(NOTE: This is not a review, they’re merely my impressions after playing a very incomplete version of the game. I know this is a beta and that its nowhere near what we’ll get in the final version.)

Being a Battlefield: Bad Company (BF:BC) veteran. Spending countless hours playing the game. I’m looking forward to this new version. Unlike other Battlefields, this one does have a campaign and usually follow the same set of objectives as the online game. Not to mention the dialog is quite entertaining. Hopefully they maintain this element in the new version. The Beta, however, is only online play. Much like the demo of the version prior. From the looks of it, I’m not too sure on the storyline and campaign. This time around, it seems to look a whole lot more serious.
More after the jump!

On last year’s E3, it was all about the upcoming release of Little Big Planet, Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 on the Sony front. But a small developer called Titan Studios, with the help of Sony, revealed a game no one knew about before that, called Fat Princess. While it looked interesting, I always take precaution before getting hyped into a game when I know it’s far from being released. But with more and more information, I got sucked into the game’s hype machine, wanting to get my hands on some piece of that cake. After missing over and over again my chances to get into the beta because I was too busy studying, I finally got my chance to try it. So was the hype really worth its gold? Find out after the jump!
Well a new version of the open beta was released today, and I’ll be glad to say that the game is still bad.
Though they started working on the camera issues, new camera issues have surfaced and it’s even more confusing to play than before.
With the new beta version also comes a slew of network problems and laggy games BUT it’s a lot easier to host and join games.
But the game is still really hard to play due to the camera which REALLY screws around when you attack, the wall-clinging is still annoying though they’re apparently working on it and it’s still quite unbalanced.
Even though I think the game is just wasted potential, it’s nice to see they’re listening to the people testing the game to make it better, and maybe by the time the full version comes out it’s gonna be good.
At least check it out, you might like it.

It’s a game about Ninja Robots. Ninja Robots who have to kill each other with katana. To gain points, you have to explode after doing some kills, and maybe scoring extra points in the process of exploding. Doesn’t that sound like the recipe to success?
Well, as awesome as it sounds, it’s surprisingly not too great. Keep in mind, this is a first impression, and it’s only an early beta, so by the time the game officially comes out, it might be a lot better than it is now. Well, without further ado, let’s jump right in what, by concept, sounds like the most awesome thing ever!

I don’t really know anything on Free Realms, I’ll look into it a bit later today (when I’m done with my LBP review), but for now, here’s a link to the game’s Beta registration page. It’s free to register, so why not?
UPDATE: On one side, you have what looks like a game oriented to a family, so far from the type of gamers most of us are. But it still seems interesting to see how this game comes out, as there’s 18 classes and you can switch between them whenever you want. (Not all classes are fighting classes)
