Dissidia Final Fantasy was released in Japan on the 18th of December last year, shifting 350’000 units in three days and I was lucky enough to nab a copy for myself on the 29th. Will this be Final Fantasy’s greatest journey? Or is this merely a way for a desperate Square Enix to cling onto their fans and milk their biggest franchise yet?
I’ve been asked by a few people to divulge more information regarding a few games I played during the Tokyo Game Show… One of the games that have repeatedly recurred is Dissidia Final Fantasy. I guess it’s only fair that I preview one of the biggest games to land on handheld consoles since their inception, right?
Well, today I managed to get a hold of a few Xbox360 games. I had my hands wrapped around Dissidia for about an hour, for sure, but that didn’t stop me playing Bionic Commando, Ninja Blade, The Last Remnant and Star Ocean 4, however. I can’t really go too much into depth, given how tight a schedule I’m on at the moment – we’re about to sit down to watch The Machine Girl – so I’ll just quickly outline a few things… I’ll be back sometime on Monday, at which time I’ll write a lot more indepth views of each of the games I’ve played. Keep your eyes peeled, okay?
