March was a pretty hard-hitting month, with lots of huge releases across all consoles. Obviously April won’t compare…
But I wasn’t expecting such a low number of note-worthy releases. PS3, Xbox 360, PSP and PC get no interesting exclusive releases, so we’re left with just a few interesting multi-platform releases, 3 DS releases(including 1 japanese release), and 2 Wii releases. A very slow month indeed.
It might be a small month, but still, come and check what are the interesting games coming in April 2010!
As usual, Multiplatform releases first, ordered by date, and if the game is a japanese release it is marked accordingly.

March has some pretty cool releases, including one of the most awaited games in years.
There’s lots of good releases, a few that aren’t too great, but overall it seems like it should be a really good month. Let’s go and see what March has in store for us gamers, shall we?
As usual, the multi-platform releases are toghether, the exclusive releases are in their own sections, and japanese releases are marked accordingly.

I played the demo for this game, and let’s just say I was less than impressed. It went from a “possible buy if I find it for 20$” to a “maybe I’ll rent it one day”. The demo, to be totally honest, was terrible. This brought down my hype for the game to zero.
So when I rented it (using GameAccess, a Canadian equivalent to GameFly), my expectations were as low as can be.
So does this surpass expectations, or is the final game just as lame as the demo? Read my review and see! (hint: it’s not a positive review)

The year had a pretty good start, but things seem to be continuing pretty well for February.
As usual, I’m not listing all the games coming, just the interesting ones. And no, there’s no interesting Xbox 360 exclusives in February as far as I can tell.

Well this game is special for me… mostly because this is the very first time we got a review copy for a game, and that’s awesome. We can hope that this will eventually lead to more review copies.
Anyways… This game is a Match 3 type puzzle game, very similar to Bejeweled/Puzzle Quest. Though it does have a few fun twists. So, is it any good, or are there better options for fans of the genre?

I have around one month and a few days left until my fifth semester of college ends. There is only one thing that stands in the way between me and my rightfully deserved A’s : Borderlands. Ok…well maybe that and my poor study habits. Nevertheless, Borderlands is making sure that this last month full of finals, 12 page papers, and study sessions will be filled of thoughts of what quests I’ve just finished and how soon will that lovely new ‘LEVEL UP!’ icon will flash across the screen.

Well, for my first “Games That Didn’t” post, I’ll talk about a game that didn’t, just minutes ago for me.
Sometimes there are game that just don’t, and that for various reasons. Sometimes it’s bad gameplay, sometimes some gameplay mechanics are just incredibly bad, and sometimes there’s game breaking glitches. But fact of the matter is, some games just don’t. And Wolfenstein, sadly, didn’t.
Read on to see why it didn’t!

Ah Ghostbusters. A good piece of my childhood, and that of many other people who were born in the 80s. After 20 years since the second film, and the video game industry not treating the franchise very well(or, well, barely treating it at all), with the only decent game coming from the series being the Genesis game, but looking so wacky it wasn’t a great representation of the movies.
So after all that waiting, a new Ghostbusters game comes for next-gen consoles. I don’t know what was the draw to make a new game for it after so long, but as a Ghostbusters fan I couldn’t be happier that some developers(and publishers, thank you Atari for picking it up after the Vivendi/Activision merger almost destroyed it) showed some love for it.
So can the Ghostbusters finally make it into a great game? Read my review!
