Well, time for the gaming world to “recover” from the “drought” of the summer, so it’s time for a lot more “interesting”/noteworthy releases than in the last few months.
This time there’s releases on every system which is good. 3 DS releases, 2 PC releases, 3 PS3 exclusives, 2 PSP releases, 1 Wii release, 2 360 exclusive releases and 10 multiplatform releases. Everyone should at least find one interesting game to play in here.
So yeah, read on to see what possibly interesting games are comming in september 2010!

What a weird title…. ANYWAYS, this is a Sonic racing game, and Sonic, rather than running, has to drive a car… that’s kinda weird, considering he can run faster than the speed of sound. He is joined by various All-Stars in the Sega library. Well, more like cult favorites, since very few of the racers could be considered actual All-Stars. And if you get the Xbox 360 version, Banjo and Kazooie join in on the fun… for some reason…
I sort of took my time before playing this, because I wasn’t sure if it would be any good, considering this is a post-Sonic 3 game in the Sonic franchise (I checked, Sonic CD was before 3), AND it’s a spin-off…
After a while I decided to rent it and sort of played non-stop since I got it… So read on and see if I really liked it or not!

I love the Trauma Center series on DS. It was something original at the time, and provided a huge challenge and very interesting gameplay elements. I always found the Wii version to be a bit less fun, though I’m not exactly sure why (haven’t played much of New Blood, so I can’t comment on that one). Here Atlus had to make a new gimmick to keep things interesting. Instead of just “normal” operations, you have 6 game modes to play. Fun!… maybe?
Rather than doing a full review, I’m making this into a short impressions post, as there’s some game modes I couldn’t stand playing more than one level of, and therefore couldn’t advance any further in the story.
So let’s go and see the good and the bad of life in a video game hospital!

I was rather excited for this game for 2 reasons. First, well it’s published by NISA, and second, it’s the first game in the long-running Sakura Taisen series to make it to America. So I definitely wanted to see what it was all about.
When I finally received it from the online game rental thingy, I couldn’t wait to try it… except it didn’t work on my Wii since it’s seemingly dual-layered, and somehow my Wii can’t read dual-layered discs (such as Super Smash Bros Brawl…dammit). But today I got the chance to go try it at a friend’s house, and put in 3 and a half hours of gameplay.
So here are my initial impressions of the game. I won’t write a full review, at least not for a while, unless I find the PS2 version for cheap, or if I rent the PS2 version.
Read on and see what I thought!

March was a pretty hard-hitting month, with lots of huge releases across all consoles. Obviously April won’t compare…
But I wasn’t expecting such a low number of note-worthy releases. PS3, Xbox 360, PSP and PC get no interesting exclusive releases, so we’re left with just a few interesting multi-platform releases, 3 DS releases(including 1 japanese release), and 2 Wii releases. A very slow month indeed.
It might be a small month, but still, come and check what are the interesting games coming in April 2010!
As usual, Multiplatform releases first, ordered by date, and if the game is a japanese release it is marked accordingly.

AH yes, Capcom milking something that hasn’t really been milked since the early 90s. After the success(and awesomeness) of Mega Man 9, it was no surprise that people wanted more, and Capcom never misses the opportunity to make easy money.
Since the fans loved it so much, myself included, this game goes back to the NES style of Mega Man games again. Cover art and all. Yeah, I really love that cover art… The game features nostalgic graphics, nostalgic music and nostalgic gameplay.
Does it hold of as well as Mega Man 9, or should have Capcom stopped milking the cow already?

March has some pretty cool releases, including one of the most awaited games in years.
There’s lots of good releases, a few that aren’t too great, but overall it seems like it should be a really good month. Let’s go and see what March has in store for us gamers, shall we?
As usual, the multi-platform releases are toghether, the exclusive releases are in their own sections, and japanese releases are marked accordingly.

This was a huge surprised. Just a few days ago, this was announced. 2 days after getting announced, it came out. Yeah, I find it a bit weird, since there was literally no marketing for this game, other than the Wii Shop Channel update posts on various news sites. So if it ends up under-selling… well, the complete lack of publicity is to blame.
For me, when it was announced and the trailer video came out, I knew I had to get it right away. It was a huge surprise that it was announced… Heck, I was surprised to learn that Sunsoft still existed… (MAKE A NEW “JOURNEY TO SILIUS” SUNSOFT!!!!)
The original Blaster Master on the NES was a great game, but it was incredibly difficult. Partly because it was genuinely hard and required lots of skill, and partly because it had limited continues and no save points.
I was just a bit weary though, since Blaster Master hasn’t always been very lucky when it comes to sequels. The Genesis game wasn’t too great and the Playstation game was quite bad. I haven’t played/seen the GBC version, so I can’t comment on that one.
Read on and see if it holds up to the original’s standards, or if it’s lame like its previous sequels!
(Note: This is not a remake, it’s a completely new game in the series.)

After the lesser know Game Boy sequel to the NES original, this series has constantly had sequels announced, and all of them were canceled. This is the first time (after the GB game) a sequel was announced where it actually came out. While it was a beloved classic, the original A Boy and his Blob was also a really tough and hard to play game because of its various quirks.
So does this new game follow the original closely, or does it give a new spin on things, being on a completely new console?
Read on and see!
(Yes, the review for this is really late… kinda forgot the game existed for a while there)

After over a year of being out in Japan, Tatsunoko vs Capcom gets a revision. And strangely enough it came out in the America as well.
You might not know who Tatsunoko is. And, frankly, until the American release for this game was announced, I didn’t know either. I did my research and learned about their anime series, and realized there were a few I actually did know(Yatterman, Karas, I knew a bit about Casshan). And I watched some gameplay videos for a while too… Wow, this looked really fun. When I found out it was announced for the US I knew I had to get it.
Was it worth the wait? Are the characters fun to use? How’s the fighting engine?
Read my review and you’ll hopefully get an answer to all those questions.
(Note: I did not play “Cross Generation of Heroes”, I did not play the arcade version… and I am by no means a pro at fighting games)
