The Save Factor
We slightly changed our review style, as you might’ve seen in a post here in June 2009. The biggest change is our new original and unique rating system: The Save Factor.
What the system basically does is simple: the reviewer objectively tries to find the best price for the game.
So at the end of the review, you’ll find the Save Factor. You can consider this a score if you want, but that’s not what we’re looking for here.
This system will consider mostly: the gameplay; the game’s length and its re-playability; its presentation; and when applicable, other factors will come in, like story or features specific to a game. Using all that information, as well as the game’s starting price, we’ll figure out how the most you should be paying for each game, in US dollars. There will be times where multiple Save Factors will be used, depending on franchises and such.
